Audiophile Neighbor Pounds Ceiling to Demand You Adjust Midrange
When I lived in California I used to frequently call my neighbor to berate him for overdriving his system with his drunken endless repletion of the "Hotel California" album. I told him just because he had no fucking musical taste he could at least respect his amplifier's head room.
OMG Hotel California makes me want to stab my ears with an ice pick to stop the pain.
I haven't listened to it in quite a bit (have the 192kHz file version too from the DVD-A - was one of the early DVD-As that took advantage of that resolution) as it has been overplayed.
"Turn up the Eagles the neighbors are listening." Steely Dan "Everything You Did"
Back in the day DSotM was an overplayed song. LP or cassette mix tape. Freebird slowride.... dorms had lotsa crappy systems.
I like all those songs. I'll keep the radio on that station if any of those songs come on.
Yeah, they sold a ton of records too because lots of people liked them.
And because lots of people liked them and bought them and played them and the radio stations did too...
Yup, now known as "classic rock". I never feel the ice pick in the ear either - :)
Just seeing this thread. Funny, I listened to my Eagles collection on Saturday.
