I posted up previously our old HT Go Big or Go Home...which is now dismantled, and the house was sold.
I have uploaded some pics of the room, and the start of the new AV rack. The rack is at the carpenter's now having all the boards joined together with butterfly joints for the sides, and top. The wood is all being stripped, and sprayed. I hope to have the rack in the next week or two. The amp should be started on in the next couple of weeks (We are still awaiting a few minor parts.).

I wish that this room was a dedicated HT like my last one, but that is not the case. This room has 1' thick walls withCantera marble floors , and a 32' concave ceiling, as well as one wall (and part of another wall) with 10' high windows. We have 13' high theater stage curtains on the front wall, and for symmetry the front 2 side walls too. Curtains are electrically controlled. This room will be a nightmare to tune, and the best I can hope for is to get rid of most of the echo.

    Parts list...
1: 10 B&O Icepower amp modules (balanced) which will be configured to power 3 bi-amped speakers, and 4 surround channels

2: Clone Krell KSA50 case (The case is being modified for 3 power switches with 10 LEDs to show which channels are currently on. We are also using 3 Powercon connectors on the back panel to enable us to power the amps on in groups...ie left, and right channels come on for stereo, and when you want 5 channel the other 2 amps will come on. Same for the rear surrounds.) The rear panel will have 10 XLR connectors, and 10 Speakon connectors.

    3: Klipsch RP160Ms (4 for surrounds)

    4: Klipsch RP150Ms (4 for heights)

5: Klipsch k402 (1 currently, and 2 more on the way) which will be modded to MEH speakers with 2 15" woofers.

    6: Xilica xp4080 crossover

    7: Yamaha CXA5100 preamp

    8: Yamaha p2500s amps (2)

9: Dune HD PRO Streamer (2)

    10: Roku Premium

11: Roxul Rockboard (30 pieces) for 2 18' tall bass traps

    12: Asus mini PC

    13: UnRaid NAS

The finished AV rack. Next will be the 10 module amp, and early next year the k402 Synergy horns. 7104d0e03bd77c3bd0eeb5a6051edf51.jpg ccf1d86a3e28e993cd3de9611cc20ac2.jpg 22cf0e6db21b2bcb67cdcf32de83f443.jpg

Nice Really nice. Is the rack DIY or commercial?

I built the 8020 part of the rack. I then gave a carpenter my old shelves to join together for the top and sides. I also gave him the 1/2" shelves and African hardwood to make the shelves. A friend of mine machined the aluminum rods for the shelf supports.

Looks nice. Good luck with the acoustics. Synergy horns? 10+ years ago I built some diy Danley Synergy horns. used them for an outside summer theater. His subs as well.
