    Touche. But....

I would buy the following Fords: 1965 Mercury Comet Cyclone, 1969 or 1970 Mustang Mach 1, First Generation Bronco.

I would probably be ok with someone in my immediately family buying any Mustang or that new Bronco. :grinning:

The big three right now are all making pretty good drivetrains. But, there's a reason people put LS motors in everything and the 4L80E transmission behind anything with power.

I wouldn't own one but I like the new style. Every new "SUV" looks like a mini-van. Highlander and Pathfinder are awful.

Man, that two door Bronco in Orange is the bees knees. But I could put one thumping drivetrain in my Tahoe for half of that. Sure is purdy though.

I've had to replace the transmission in the last two Fords I've owned....but this might get me to look again when it's time to replace my Santa Fe.

Odd, that two transmissions went bad on you. Most of us don’t experience trannys going bad. Oddly enough last year my older impala enveloped transmission problems. It had 186k miles. I sorta sold/gifted to an assistant 4 years ago. Repair/ refurbishment was $3500.00. Tuff decision. She chose to get rid of it. Everything else was nice and clean and functional.

I don't want to talk about transmissions.

I kinda drove my Impala off of a small cliff and broke it. I needed something that gets decent mileage and is reliable and big inside but smaller outside....and it had to fit my fat ass. So I bought....well truck guys will call me names so I will keep silent.:innocent:

Bay of pigs was better executed than Chevy's work on the blazer.

    I replaced a tranny in a Ford F-150, did two in a 2000 expedition and 1 in a 2006 expedition.

I didn't even know Ford started making the Ranger again.

I read something this morning about Ford asking Goodyear to remove the word "Wrangler" from the outside of the tire because of Jeep. :grinning: And they're going to do it.

They should just put Falken Wildpeaks on it. Way better tire IMHO.

The Ranger is an old body used all over the world and introduced to the US just recently.
