Fantastic tire. I've got them on three vehicles. I'd put them on my wife's Equinox but it has 19" wheels. Hell, I might change the wheels just to run that tire when the time comes.

The was what I noticed of the Nissan Pathfinder first, then everyone followed and made soccer practice commuters

Look, that's where the demand is. People don't want truck handling, manually engaged AWD, will never use a transfer case at all... so I get it. But its a shame the niche of a mid-size SUV with solid axels and a real 4WD system is down to ONE vehicle. I don't count the wrangler, it is a different vehicle. It doesn't have any option where the roof is a solid piece with an insulated head-liner. It is essentially a convertible IMO.

What is really interesting is how many body on frame SUVs still exist in the other hemisphere (be it southeast Aisia, etc.) You have the Toyota Fortuner, the Ford Endeavor, and others. I feel like they would sell really well here in middle america into the mountain west region.

As a former Mitsubishi Outlander owner, I can vouch for crossover vehicles being very handy. The Outlander is a mild SUV body on the Lancer platform.

Well, I had a chat with my brother about this today. Die hard Ford guy, owned multiple first gen Broncos and still has one and die hard trail offroad guy. He's been all over Utah, Colorado, Wyoming and Montana looking for old cowboy hideouts, mining towns and ghost towns plus famous trails.

He said he wouldn't buy the first year unless he could get one of the first 3500. He thinks they'll be collectible. He thinks the 5.0 liter motor is coming but he's fine with the turbo 6. He likes the automatic and says trail riding with a stick is too much of a pain. He's concerned about the IFS. Wants to see how the half shafts hold up. He wants to see all the options and see what goes with what. He says he only does cloth seats because anything slick moves his feet on the petals when it's off axis and he hates that. Want to make sure the base model has power windows. He also said he'd order the base with the bigger motor and the automatic with the Sasquatch package. He thinks it'll be about 40K.

I'm way too interested in this stupid Ford Bronco. :grinning:

Hope these Broncos have better ride quality than the bucking bronco like ride of the yore.

Air those 35" tires down to 10lbs and it will probably ride really nice. :grinning:

Yep, I am ok, a bit pissed off but not much beyond that. I wanted a new truck instead of another car but because I still drive a good bit I also wanted good road manners as well as decent fuel mileage. I tried them all and wound up with a Honda Ridgeline, a vehicle that fits all those desires. The only down side is it does not sit up like the big boys so I feel a bit funny about that

Dang Jack. That's almost El Camino looking! I googled a two door to see how close, but no dice. Pretty neat truck.

Jeff, its a good vehicle, rides nice, good fuel mileage, quiet inside cabin and other stuff. I have put 1540 pounds in the bed and it still was good. Lastly, it has a trunk under the bed in back. Pretty cool.

I didn't know they still made it, but it looks WAY better than it used to.

They butched up the front end a little. Honda generally has the most min-van looking front ends on every vehicle. Drives me nuts.
