Anyone following this 18th century drama set in the backdrop of Cornwall England? It is on season 4 now. As usual a well done production. The coastline scenery shots are stunningly gorgeous IMO. It's a remake of the series of the same name from 1975. Unlike the Downton Abbey with it's extreme wealth and customs, Poldark is based on the plight of the poor in Cornwall during American revolution. I caught it on Season 3 had to go back and watch Seasons 1 and 2.

We watched several but drifted away. A friend accurately coined the name as "Poldark and handsome." :)

The current Poldark is a remake, by the way. My wife tried two episodes then without additional comment took it off our "record season" list on the DVR.

My wife has hung on with this thing. I've found it repetitious, like real life.
