A highlight from my early morning, 4-hr drive to my CT office. Still relevant as well.
There's monster on the loose...
You may recall the Tim Hardin version. I do.
Interesting take by Evanescence on a Fleetwood Mac classic. I like it, but lnot as much as the original.
I think Amy Lee could sing the shit out of any song she chooses, but Evanescence needs to get over their obsession with symphonic strings if they would like to stop sucking, in my opinion.
An extended version of Wildflowers was discussed repeatedly but has not happened. This tune escaped ~4 years ago. Now that the ex and the kids have settled their legal fight maybe this will come to pass.
See I’m not always thrashing. I actually love this album, 1989 by Taylor Swift. Lame video though. And the dude has better hips than Ms. Swift.
Ok back to regular programming. This is a live performance. For some reason the official music video is truncated. Meshuggah is a very interesting bunch of very talented musicians. Although they are not always producing music I enjoy. This song “Bleed” being an obvious exception and my favorite from them. Again, a Swedish band. I need to search for decent American metal. If you are curious, go watch some of the videos with various musicians/drummers watching Thomas Haake play and reacting. Haake and the whole band do some funky things with timing and people have a hard time even figuring it out. Someone said “Meshuggah is the only band where 3 different people could be head-banging 3 different beats for one song, and none of them would be wrong”.
And here is my current crush.
Tatiana is hot. And talented.
