someone on reddit actually pulled the "not another strong female type character crammed down our throats"
Arnie himself responded and called them out to educate them on who linda hamilton is.

It doesn't matter, she could just kill them all!

Initially, I though this was the worst idea ever, especialy considering how lame the latest installments were. I only like the first three (yes, even the third).
But this trailer actually made me interested. Good to see Linda back.

I'm pretty excited for this one. I love Terminator, and T2 is one of my favorites. The others were pretty meh, but this one looks like it could be really good

I tapped out after the third film. The "scare factor" of the first one no longer exists. T3 was a comedy to me.

I actually liked the concept of Terminator: Salvation and was hoping two more films would help loop the story back to the 1984 film, but Hollywood.

I've liked all the Terminator films. There was never a "scare factor" in my mind. They're action films.

I agree, but only the first 2 are "good" action films.
The motorcycle/ truck chase in T2 remains an all-timer 28 years later.

So I somehow watched this movie last Friday (not many people did). My expectations were super low and it mostly met them. It’s basically "The Force Awakens" of the Terminator franchise; it basically rehashes T2 with a new cast and adds a few twists to keep it interesting.
If you consider T2 sacred, this movie might piss you off.
If you think that Terminator as a franchise has been effed for decades with every film since T2 (my personal take) then you might be able to enjoy this for what it is: a competent action/sci-fi/chase thriller.

I saw it in IMAX. It was loud. I had some popcorn. I don't remember a thing.

Interesting how polarizing Terminator seems to be. I liked T3 but just as often see people crapping on it. Haven’t seen any of the rest now that I think of it.

First Terminator that has looked interesting in years, after T2 went downhill hard.

In spite of my smartass comments, I was entertained. Better than some others in the series.
