Honky Tonk Union
Another album that I can't believe is 20 years old. I guess I'm just getting to that age that all the music I listened to in high school and college is now 20-25 years old. Weird how time works, isn't it?

Why Remix 'Sgt. Pepper's'? Giles Martin, The Man Behind The Project, Explains : All Songs Considered : NPR
This was the first time I've listened to this version, remixed by Giles Martin from the original 4 track tapes in a new stereo version for the 50th anniversary in 2017. I've never been a fan of The Beatles in stereo, the forced vocals one side, instruments on the other, always just seemed so off. I've always preferred the mono mixes, especially of Sgt. Pepper's, Revolver, Rubber Soul, etc (the White Album is a strange one as I like both the mono and stereo mixes, but in different ways. If I could only have one, though, I'd probably stick with the mono)
This might be the best I've ever heard Sgt. Pepper's. Listened via headphones and it sounds both true to the original and completely new at the same time. If you haven't checked this out yet, and are a fan of The Beatles, I recommend doing so.
Want to check out Giles's remix of The White album, next, just to see how it is.
If I could click "like" 20 or 30 times I would. CLASSIC and ESSENTIAL music.
