From a car group I'm on over at FB. I AM HERE TO SAY GOODBYE TO THE GROUP, WHICH I LOVE ❤️ SO MUCH! MY WIFE SAYS I AM ON THIS PAGE WAY TOO MUCH, AND SHE CAN'T STAND IT ANYMORE! WE ARGUED AND SHE TOLD ME TO CHOOSE BETWEEN HER & THE GROUP. SO I AM GOING TO BE OFFLINE FOR FEW MINUTES WHILE I PACK HER BAGS AND CALL HER AN UBER! I'LL BE RIGHT BACK...
Well, no means no, unless you play for a blue blood college football team and then its he said she said.
I know the feeling. When it comes to weather I relate better to F but for lab work it's C, same with weights lbs for grocery, grams for lab, gallon for gas and milk liters for lab.
I can't get the work distance part to make sense to me unless the work is construction. The rest however is accurate. It's missing the one prairie bit for distance though, where we describe the distance between cities in hours.
Distance in hours makes as much sense as directions - go down the road a few good miles or so and then hang a left where the old mile post used be.
Long distances with low travel time variability makes sense to quote in hours. I always tell people Iowa City is about 4.5 hours away.
