What are your top kid approved and kid appropriate Christmas movies? My kids like A Christmas Story, some of the old CBS stuff like Frosty the Snowman, etc. and the mid 2000s remake of Miracle on 34th Street. How about your family?

    A Christmas Story

How The Grinch Stole Christmas (Jim Carey)
Polar Express (This one doesn't do much for me)
    Elf

I saw Rudolph the other day in HD and it looked gorgeous.

Oh yeah, the watch and like both the grinch movies (Jim Carey and the old animated one) as well as The Polar Express which for some reason, I really like.

Get "The Muppet Christmas Movie." You won't be disappointed. And, IMHO, Michael Caine plays the best Scrooge I have seen.

We either go for Christmas Story or Christmas Vacation.

If I had young kids today I'd make them watch "Bad Santa" and maybe "Silent Night, Deadly Night."

    ;)

No, its because we never watched it at our house. Its not that old of a movie. Its one of my wife's favorites and as such, it has actually grown on me a lot. I thought it was dumb as hell the first time I saw it.

Well, I grew up in Puerto Rico and never saw snow until I was in college, and I still love A Christmas Story. The story to me is more about how the world seems to a kid than anything else.

I had to mention it because we watched it over the weekend. I was in a lot of trouble by the time it was over because I sold it on the Christmas aspect...
