    Like your list, Mike.

I've seen 7 of your top 10, and I agree all were worthy of top 10 consideration. I especially agree on The Lives of Others.

I didn't see Hot Fuzz...and I wasn't as impressed with Knocked up as you were.
The rest of your list & ratings I, for the most part can go along with.

And those 4 that you missed....well you missed some darned fine films. easily 7.5-8 films.

I've only seen 5 of your top ten. Harry Potter 5, Zodiac and Hot Fuzz are choices I completely agree with. Bourne a little less so but it was an excellent cap to one of the best trilogies ever. Bridge to Terabithia was an excellent family film and was really a great way to introduce the realities of life to my children. I'm looking forward to catching the rest on video.

I'm guessing that The Lives of Others and possibly Zodiac will be the only films listed that will make the final Top 10 after the year is over.

I am looking forward to those films I couldn't see, Carl. Away From Her comes out on DVD on September 11th. Tuesday, The Wind that Shakes the Barley is finally released on DVD. La Vie En Rose is still playing at the art theaters around the State, but unfortunately, my county rarely shows art films. They'd rather show the pathetic Daddy Day Camp in its fourth week of release.

Wow, I feel somehow validated that I liked so many of the movies you liked (only partially joking, I have enormous respect for you and your experience and really enjoy your posts!)

So sory to hear about your County's film selctions.
The wind that Shakes the barley is excellant.

I saw the latest version of DH Lawrence's LADY CHATTERLY.
    It's in French (sub-titles). Directed by a woman. It's fair. 6.0
    Lotsa nudity....weak dialog....Glacial pacing.

Today is another French film Best Friends....I have higher hopes.
